New readers and some stuff...

I am inspired to write because of my new popularity...I have 2 readers.....hi Vill and Lumpy! Now, I don't want to hurt any feelings. If you read me, then comment and I will recognize you too!

Here is the deal....lots going on! I directed a wedding last weekend...my first....and did the make-up for the entire wedding party. I must have mad skills because everything went great. I do have to share this story. About 15 minutes before the TIME one of the groomsmen walked up to me and told me I have amazing eyes. Ha Ha I laughed it off and thanked him and told him that was why my husband gave me THIS....a beautiful diamond and sapphire ring....the diamonds were his mother's and grandmother's engagement diamonds....the sapphire is crystal blue and HUGE in the middle because it reminded him of my eyes....ok. Back when he had money, he did really good! Anyway, moving on. This groomsman proceeded to ask if the H was at the wedding and I told him no. (He was out in the country with some friends watching football like everyone else who did not have to be in a wedding!) He said good because at the reception he wanted to lick my shoes. Now, I have had some men come on to me over the years. I have dealt with it and life has gone on....however, no one has ever asked to partake of my footwear. I might add that what I was wearing was most delectible....super high strappy black ankle heels that I wore with an attitude. Let's face it....when else does an elementary teacher in Alabama get to work it? At a wedding, of course. Facts being facts, they were killing me so I told him no....after the wedding I was going home to change into something more comfortable. The H was completely in agreement about this man's attitude.....I think he will come with me to the next function of which I am in charge....what do you think?

On to more serious stuff....I am leaving Sat. to go to Knoxville. My mother is having double-knee replacement on November 1. Let me explain my feelings. I am absolutely thrilled to be going away for a week.....I will miss a whole week of school but it is not the week that I have my gifted kids. It is the week that I teach the entire school in 30 min. blocks. Not a problem! Do not hate to miss that week! I don't even mind missing my kiddos and Halloween here.....I have experienced 10, I can miss one! Number 1....Halloween is my birthday and I never get anything from them LOL! Number 2, I don't have to do the Halloween thing! I will spend my birthday with my sister and her family and Momma and they do give great presents....eww I sound so shallow. With everything I have been through in the past few months, I think I deserve to chill and enjoy. I will get to see my neice and nephew have their Halloween and I will love that. Also, Mom needs me! I will stay in the hospital with her and nurse her through those first couple of tough days. When she goes into rehab (and cannot have visitors), I will be able to help sis and her H....he has been having seizures and cannot drive so I expect a few trips to Home Depot or other manly places which will be fun. I will be checking my email from Mom's house so I hope to hear from my peeps, ok? I will try to write when I get the chance but if you don't hear from me, assume everything is ok, OK?

Thanks for reading....more soon!

wow. I've been mentioned at the beginning of the post. Flattery will get you everywhere. If I were your husband I would definantly be at the next wedding. Talk about out of line. Although if you feel like being a spectacle you could wear those shoes when you have to go to Home Depo for the Bro-in-law.

Dang! I was gonna try the "can I lick your shoes line" on you. I guess I'll have to go with either the old "can you guess how much this eggplant weighs" or the "i've got some etchings i want you to see in the van"

Have fun in Knoxville, we used to go party in Cobbly Knob, Sevierville and thereabouts when we went to Gatlinburg. Great part of the country. Hope Momma is alright, and have a happy happy birthday!
